- Ho (observed heterozygosity) is a genotypic measure
- He (Expected heterozygosity) is an allelic measure
- He ~ Ho : Population is going great.
- Ho > He : There is a breakage of population (isolation)
- He > H0 : High variability in the population, good for breeding
- He and Ho are <0.25 - Useless population for breeding
