Dr Nagarajan came to the centre on 9th and gave a talk followed by discussions. One manager from legal team Pranshu Bhutra also had a separate discussion with him on NBA. His suggestions are:

1) Lobby with the MOEF to get the crop listed as exempted.

2) Prior to 1968, all biological material belongs to Govt of India and access, research and exchange of such material requires NBA's approval. However after 1969, if any biological material has been brought to India by an individual or institute through proper channels and grown in their premises such material need not go through NBA.
