Dear Suresh,

As discussed, I am sending the background as a pre-red for discussion.

During 2020, With the business ask on improving the Casuarina clone ITC1761 productivity / penetration, we experimented with multiple intercropping system using medicinal plants (due to higher profit). During 2022, we demonstrated with Black cumin / Aswakantha with improved farmers income (30000 and 45000 per ac per season) without compromised on Casuarina yield. The report was submitted to PSPD and Vadiraj suggested the farmers on various companies for marketing the product. Later, during 2024m MAEB has started budding as a business, they requested PSPD to help on MAP, while PSPD was looking from the perspective of intercropping system, so that PSPD farmers also get benefited. Due to the earlier experience, Suneel (along with Ragavendra) requested us to help in setting up MAP in 5 acres in BCM / Rudrapur as an intercrop with PSPD's expenses (mail below). We further mapped the plausible crops / weather mapping with shared the experimental plan. This would be a hand-shake activity and not an independent project as of now.
