Butterfly

Yes. We generally assume, butterflies do only pollination and collect nectar, but, it actually does a "selective breeding", encourages native plants and are indicators of the natural habitat and weather in addition to their natural aesthetic appearance.

Truly, they are fantastic fellows. Once I had a opportunity to visit Butterfly garden near Bannargatta Zoo, established by students of UAS Bangalore. Some of the things that I learnt about butterflies were amazing.

Butterflies have gender (♂ and ♀), but by appearance they all look similar us. Similar - only to human eyes (in visible range of 380nm to 740nm). The ♂ and ♀ butterflies are very different in color in UV range (<380nm), and their compound eye could recognize the UV range. So each ♀/♂ can easily identify their partner and attract(or get attracted). Being similar at visible range is also a kind of defensive mechanism. I was also told, butterflies can threaten the predators with their wing pattern, selectively for certain predators that recognizes certain wave length of light. To simplify, தன் இறக்கையை, ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் வெவ்வேறு விதமாக காட்டும் இயல்பு, பட்டுப் பூச்சிக்கு உண்டு.

Likewise, these species may have many capabilities to connect with nature, which we, as a Humans may not be even aware of. கல்லாதது உலகளவு.

General message

OK Guys. Just being open, I too was attracted by one of our classmates. I get switched-off myself, whenever she is around in those 4 years. I was planning to propose her post All-India tour. Just before, I asked couple of questions to myself, while the "me" inside, clearly said, "No man, your decision seem to be very immature". Hence it was totally buried inside. Later she took a different path and my priorities changed. Hard to expose her name as she is part of this group. Even now I am curious about her well-being, but never got a chance to (really) meet. I get reminded of her, when I hear a (specific) song.

I am sure, some of the boys knew this, but please don't dig into. Or don't ask me what song is that.

-)

I shall write about my actual love story post Raguram's one as he is senior in this.

Learning

  1. Learning is something that you have understood all your life, but slightly in a different way!
  2. Life is a journey, not a destination.

FACTS

  1. Those who had coins, enjoyed in the rain. Those who had bills, were busy looking for shelter.
  2. Man and God both met somewhere. Both exclaimed, "wow, my creator."
  3. He asked, are you a Hindu or Muslim? The response came, "I am hungry"!
  4. The fool didn't know it was impossible. So he did it.
  5. What if God asks you after you die, "So how was heaven?"
  6. They told me that to make her fall in love I had to make her laugh. But every time she laughs, I am the one who falls in love."
  7. We don't make friends anymore, but we only Add them.

Forwards

Fellow Scientists, Let's not merely copy/paste URLs; forward "innovations"; "good morning & philosophical messages" from internet. Internet is owned by nobody or everybody. Every one has equal opportunity the fetch the innovations/philosophical messages with simple heuristic search into our plate. More importantly, the one that is "new and exciting" to you need not be "new" to others.

Hence the right direction would be to *discuss* anything that you post here. Let's make this group more live/meaningful, rather than yet another group filled with forwarded messages.

Concepts

  • Yes. I am an naturalist, but just because I do not believe in God, it does not mean that I do not believe in anything. I believe in compassion, kindness, love, logic, equality, empathy, myself, integrity, honesty and more.
  • True. However, when I dissect all the possible social service(s), one thing appears in my mind very strong. Self-discipline* is the best service of highest order, one can offer to the country.
  • Often I hear "window shopping". By design, it is one of the most "un-planned" shopping, essentially people end up in buyings "wants" rather than "needs".
  • "Sir", essentially means, *Slave I Remain*. Not really sure, you want to be "slave" to someone.
  • என்றும் *சௌகரியம்* மோசமான *நண்பன்*, *கஷ்டம்* ஒரு மிகச்சிறந்த *ஆசிரியன்*.
  • Mobile is for communication, not for conversation.
  • கோவிலுக்கு வெளியே இருக்கும் ஏழையும் சரி, கோவிலுக்கு உள்ளே இருக்கும் பணக்காரனும் சரி - கேட்பதென்னவோ பிச்சை தான்.

Caste

Anyway.. this seems to be slight sensitive, however here is my personal view on caste and relligion.

My parents believed and belonged to some caste/religion, which I didn't inherit it. 4 years back, I fought with the school management heavily, who mandatorily asked to mention religion for kids. Same with the ITC HR department. I have terminated the caste/religion from my generation onwards, which was explianed to kids, while it is upto them to choose(or not to choose) any religion upon their wish/belief.

I do have my own views about Hinduism, which I belive, is not a religion, but the "Way of Life". I have been and very keen to take learnings from Vedhas/B.Gita, but formally I wouldn't declare, I am a Hindu. I am with No Religion (& ofcourse with no caste). I am not an atheist, but wouldn't want to boundary myself in the name of a particular so called religion.

If you guys want to disregard me based on my above views, I am still ok with it.
